Dr. Jeffrey L. Rand, a Board Certified Dermatologist and Board Certified Internist is a nationally recognized Laser Tattoo Removal Expert.  As founder of Dr. Rand’s Tattoo Removal Center he created a unique medical practice in Manhattan, New York: the first and only private medical office devoted exclusively to helping people remove unwanted tattoos.

Patients travel to see Dr. Rand in his Manhattan Laser Tattoo Removal office in New York City locally from all over the greater New York metropolitan area (Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Staten Island, Westchester, Long Island, Manhattan, New Jersey, and Connecticut), regionally from the entire Northeast and nationally from as far away as Chicago and Minneapolis. The Manhattan Laser Tattoo Removal doctor, Jeffrey. Rand. MD, attended Columbia University in New York City where he graduated Cum Laude. Dr. Rand went on to four years of Medical School at Suny Downstate in New York City where he received his medical degree and graduated with Cum Laude honors. Dr. Rand was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.

Dr. Rand continued his post-graduate studies completing a three-year residency in Internal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in New York and was recognized with an Excellence in Teaching Award. Dr. Rand then went on to pass his national examinations to become Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

The NYC Laser Tattoo Removal doctor  then went on to complete another three-year fellowship in Dermatology at The Albert Einstein College of Medicine. There he distinguished himself by being named Chief Resident of Dermatology and was awarded further teaching responsibilities. Upon completion of his program he passed another set of national examinations to become Board Certified in Dermatology as well.

As a Board Certified Dermatologist (Skin Specialist) in private practice since 1992, Dr. Rand has practiced in both New York City as well as in South Florida. Early in his career Dr. Rand taught and ran clinics at two New York City hospitals in addition to his private practice work with patients.

In Florida he remained academically affiliated serving as a Voluntary Clinical Asst. Professor of Dermatology and Skin Surgery at the University of Miami where he taught medical students and Dermatology residents for 10 years.

Since using his first laser nearly 20 years ago, Dr. Rand's career has seen and paralleled the astounding developments in laser technology. Dr. Rand has performed many of the various laser treatments developed for Cosmetic Dermatology including Laser Hair Removal, Laser Facial and Leg Spider Vein Removal , Laser Pigmented Lesion Removal, Laser Wrinkle Removal, Laser Photorejuvination, Laser Scar Treatment, Laser Treatment of Warts, and Laser Tattoo Removal.

Initially Dr. Rand's private practice was a balance of medical dermatology, surgical dermatology, skin cancer, cosmetic dermatology and laser dermatology. Over time Dr. Rand devoted increasing time in his practice to laser dermatology.

After attending several prestigious medical conferences, two thoughts occurred to Dr. Rand. First, laser tattoo removal is a truly wonderful way to help people erase mistakes in their life. Second, laser tattoo removal is treated as poor stepchild in the cosmetic medical fields. He decided to become an expert in Laser Tattoo Removal and began to refine my medical knowledge of laser science and laser tattoo removal. He even went out to meet dozens of tattoo artists who were kind enough to teach him about their inks and their art. That insider knowledge proved invaluable to Dr. Rand's Laser Tattoo Removal skills as he treated more and more tattoos.

Eventually Dr. Rand decided to follow his passion and devote himself exclusively to Laser Tattoo Removal. He founded his Tattoo Removal Center to be a private confidential medical practice where people with unwanted tattoos can be treated with the latest laser technology by a doctor devoted strictly to helping them meet their goals.
